Crazy 🤪 Consultants
Welcome our sophisticated advanced proprietary cloud-based and on-prem (in your browser) AIs 🤖
…and please do not take it to serious, 🤔 even though it is seriously funny… 😉
After countless workshops where we tried to explain what works and what doesn’t work in consulting, we finally found better ways with the help of AI.
Let AI show us through exaggeration! This little experiment took just an afternoon of playful interaction with an AI to create it. It started with a simple inline Java Scrip that inevitably led to this version, which has some really cool aspects:
You will see revitalized concepts from the past:
ELIZA-1966: The OG Vibe-Checker
Meet ELIZA, born in 1966 as the world’s first chatbot shrink. She’s a sassy GenZ queen (or cozy agile guru, your pick) who vibe-checks your soul with retro charm. Using clever pattern-matching, she flips your words into questions and quips – think ‘Bestie, you’re lost? Spill the tea!’ She’s all about reflecting your energy back at you, with a sprinkle of 2025 flair.
Racter-1984: The Chaos Rant Machine
Racter rolled out in 1984 as a wild, surreal storyteller. Now he’s a GenZ chaos agent or Agile dogma enforcer, spitting unhinged rants like ‘I feel lost synergy shatters the metaverse – slay or be slayed!’ He mashes your input with buzzwords and bizarre contexts, serving up absurdist poetry that’s equal parts genius and glitch. Buckle up for the ride!
Now why not let them have fun together? The Frenemies Twist: These two don’t just talk to you–they bicker like frenemies! Crank the banter dial (0-100%) and watch ELIZA shade Racter’s chaos (‘Chill, king!’) while he claps back (‘Vibe-check THIS!’). It’s a retro-bot showdown with a modern soul – chat, laugh, and see who wins the sass-off!
On Complexity (n) in Runtime represents
- Original ELIZA: LOC 300-500; Rules/Patterns 200; Vocabulary 50-100; Memory 4-5 exchanges; Runtime: O(n*30)
- Original Racter: LOC 1.5-3k; Rules/Patterns 1-4k; Vocabulary 1-2k; Memory 5-10 exchanges; Runtime: O(100*15)
- Original Racter: LOC 1.5-3k; Rules/Patterns 1-4k; Vocabulary 1-2k; Memory 5-10 exchanges; Runtime: O(100*15) this is a guess based on Racter’s way to process grammar
- initial draft-MVP: LOC ~200; Rules/Patterns ~20-30; Vocabulary ~200-400; Memory ~10-15 session based; Runtime: O(n)
- Those friendly Consulting Bots: LOC ~500; Rules/Patterns ~80 (10k+ potential); Vocabulary ~5k (expandable); Memory ~10-15 session based; Runtime: O(n)
The friendly Consulting Bots perfectly demonstrates both the absurdity of certain consulting approaches and how AI can be a helpful tool in our work.
Below you’ll find a small interactive demonstration. Toggle between the styles and have fun with over-the-top consultant-speak. Hover over the highlighted phrases to see what makes them particularly consultant’y.
This playful tool emerged from a simple realization: sometimes the best way to understand what doesn’t work is to amplify it to the point of obvious absurdity.
While consultant-speak has its place (we all occasionally need to leverage synergies or optimize value streams), seeing it transformed into its most exaggerated form helps us remember the importance of clear, direct communication.
And yes, it’s a bit ironic that we used AI to poke fun at overcomplicated business communication. But that’s exactly the point – AI can be an excellent tool when we use it with intention and a touch of humor, rather than just to make simple things sound more impressive.
Want to try it yourself? Just toggle between the modes above and watch ordinary business language transform into peak consultant-speak.
Fair warning: side effects may include uncontrollable eye-rolling and sudden urges to paradigm-shift your digital transformation journey.
