As a die-hard futuristic Busines Value Artist*) and Digitization Evangelist*) (the more boring down-to-earth-term for this is Enterprise Transformation Implementer), I strive for opportunities to make significant contributions to successful corporate evolution for our future society (the more boring down-to-earth term for this is Consulting, Training, Coaching, and Mentoring).
When I apply lean-agile practices, principles, and mental models, I look to increase the speed of ideas through the system (flow) and lower the average cost per idea (efficiency and effectiveness).
There are typically three roadblocks that I encounter on my engagements.
- Broken Portfolio-to-team-and-back connection (Strategic Alignment)
- Broken CE/CI/CD-pipeline (Product Management)
- Orthodox contracting (trying to fuel a gasoline engine with straw)
In my workshops on Agile Contracting, I show how some simple rules derived from standard lean-agile practices lower transaction costs and increase productivity.
It takes a long time to implement parts of the ideas on Agile Contracting in typical corporations, and it took me a trip to Dubai to stumble over the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) concept and to instantly link this to my ongoing wish to work again in a high-performing team. I have to elaborate on the Dubai and high-performing teams thing also later.
I hereby create a new bond for me to get a DAO around Busines Value and Digital Transformation up and running. This here is the very first part of my new Ulysses Pact.
Stay tuned…
*) Business Value Artist
Business Value is a fascinating, multi-faceted, and multi-dimensional gem. It depends on the situation and perception and is exceptionally tricky to model and optimize. However, in its essence, it fuels our growth and evolution. I, therefore, prefer Artist instead of Engineer or Expert.
*) Digitization Evangelist
Here, we also have a lot of engineering. However, a significant part is to convince people to embark on an unfamiliar vessel toward an unknown future. You have to be nuts or a true believer to do this. Evangelists are good at winning people to believe.
